VHF COMMUNICATIONS
The CI 268-5 provides a way to add the ComDat® "look" to your aircraft. After adding a ComDat® combination antenna, many like to match the look for their othere VHF Comm. This is the best way to do it. This model featuyres the same super-tough nickel plated aluminum base plate with integral Nitrile 'O' ring for pressurized applications found on all ComDat® models.
The CI 268-5 operates at standard VHF Comm frequencies, and features a built-in harmonic suppression filter to eliminate VHF/GPS co-site interference. This means this antenna can reside close to GPS antennas without the need for in-line notch filters.
This makes the installers job much easier. He no longer has to be concerned about traditional antenna separation issues. Antenna spacing and placement just got a whole lot easier.
